What this cleanser does
A 150 ml soap-based cleansing foam with peach water at 15.7%, peach seed powder at 0.5% as a mild physical scrub, cellulose fibre, and Capryloyl Salicylic Acid.
The two percentages on the label, read honestly
Anua declares three figures, which is more transparency than most brands offer. Two of them are real and one is a gesture.
Peach Water at 15.7%, second on the list, is a genuine fraction of the formula — the water phase is substantially peach distillate rather than plain water. Peach Seed Powder at 0.5% at position ten is the gritty part; half a percent is a mild scrub, which is the correct amount for a cleanser you might use often.
Niacinamide at 100 ppm is 0.01%. Studies on niacinamide use 2% to 5%. At 0.01%, in a product that is on your face for under a minute and then rinsed, it is a label claim, not a treatment. The "Niacin" in the product name refers to this.
Buy this for the cleanser it is. Do not buy it as your niacinamide step.
It is a soap, and there is a fibre in it
Potassium Laurate at four and Potassium Myristate at six, with Potassium Hydroxide at twelve, make this a saponified cleanser — the dense, squeaky-clean lather rather than the soft foam of a syndet. Between them at position five is Cellulose, a plant fibre that gives the "spread" texture its body and adds a second, softer kind of friction alongside the peach seed grit.
Down at 38 sits Capryloyl Salicylic Acid — LHA, an oil-soluble exfoliant. So there are three exfoliating mechanisms here: seed powder, cellulose fibre and a mild acid. That is a lot for a daily wash.

- Lipo-hydroxy acid (LHA), a fat-chain salicylic acid derivative. Oil-soluble, slower and more surface-bound than salicylic acid.
- Niacinamide (100 ppm)
- Nicotinamide (vitamin B3). Declared at 0.01% — present, but far below the levels studied for tone or oil.
- Cyanocobalamin
- Vitamin B12. Deep red in solution; in a formula at this depth it is doing colour more than anything else.
- Centella Asiatica Extract
- Extract of Centella asiatica, whole plant. Used to calm irritation; used to slow oxidation, in the formula and on skin.
- Ceramide NP
- Ceramide 3. A material skin already contains, so it reads as its own.
- Polyquaternium-22
- Cationic polymer. Leaves a light film on the surface — deposits on rinse so a soap does not leave skin squeaking.
- Glyceryl Glucoside
- Glycerin bound to glucose. Used to pull in water and hold it.
How the formula works together
The bottom third of the list is a counterweight to the top. A soap base with a scrub in it is a stripping combination; behind it sit Centella, fig, kudzu, elm root, pine needle and evening primrose extracts, plus Sodium Hyaluronate, Glyceryl Glucoside, Beta-Glucan, Ceramide NP and Linolenic Acid.
Those are real ingredients, but they are past position 24 in a rinse-off soap. Polyquaternium-22 at thirteen is the one positioned to survive the rinse, because it is cationic and deposits rather than washing away.
Fragrance is listed at sixteen. Gardenia fruit extract, further down, is a traditional natural colourant.
Who it is for
Worth checking before you buy: The niacinamide on the front is 100 ppm — 0.01% — and it is the twentieth ingredient; soap-based with a physical scrub, so not for a compromised barrier or a retinoid week.
Labelled for all skin types. In practice: skin that likes a thorough, slightly scrubby wash and does not react to soap or fragrance. Contains a physical exfoliant, a soap base, an LHA and fragrance — if your barrier is compromised or you are on a retinoid, this is not the one.
How to use it
- Dispense a small amount into dry palms.
- Work it into a rich foam in circular motions before it touches your face.
- Massage over damp skin lightly — let the foam do the work rather than pressing the grit in.
- Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Two or three times a week is enough if your skin is dry.
