BRINGGREEN
BRINGGREEN Bamboo Hyalu Lip Essence Double Pack (11g+11g)
Two tubes, because you will lose one.
Twelve ingredients, petrolatum first — the occlusive that actually holds overnight.
Thick, glossy, and it stays put.
What this essence does
An 11 g lip essence, sold in a pair, built on petrolatum and polyisobutene with bamboo extract and two hyaluronates, formulated to hold water on lip skin without the greasy weight of a balm.
Why the list is this short
Lip products go into the mouth. That is the argument for keeping the list at twelve ingredients: an occlusive base to stop water leaving, two humectants to hold what is there, one botanical extract, two preservatives. No fragrance, no flavour, no colourant, no plumping irritant.
Key ingredients
Ingredient · What it is, and what it is used for
- Petrolatum
- Purified petroleum jelly. Forms a protective layer on the surface; sits on top and slows how fast water leaves.
- Polyisobutene
- Synthetic polymer. Leaves a light film on the surface; sets how thick it is.
- Microcrystalline Wax
- Petroleum-derived wax. Sets how thick it is.
- Hydrogenated Castor Oil
- Hardened castor oil. Softens by filling the gaps between surface cells; sets how thick it is.
- Phyllostachys Bambusoides Extract
- Extract of Japanese timber bamboo.
- Sodium Hyaluronate
- Sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. A material skin already contains, so it reads as its own; used to pull in water and hold it.
- Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate
- Acetylated hyaluronate. Modified to be less water-loving than the plain form, so it clings to the surface instead of rinsing straight off.
- Butylene Glycol
- Diol. Used to pull in water and hold it; dissolves the rest so the formula stays one liquid.
- Caprylyl Glycol
- Diol. Used to pull in water and hold it; used to soften by filling the gaps between surface cells; reduces odour.
- Ethylhexylglycerin
- Glyceryl ether. Keeps microbes out of the jar; reduces odour.
How the formula works together
Lip skin has almost no barrier of its own and no oil glands, so it loses water faster than the rest of the face. An occlusive is the only thing that reliably slows that, and petrolatum is the most effective one there is. Polyisobutene and microcrystalline wax give it body so it stays put.
The two hyaluronates and Butylene Glycol supply water for the occlusive to trap — which is why an essence like this works better applied to damp lips than to dry ones. Bamboo extract is the botanical note; at its position on the list it is a small part of the formula.
Who it is for
Labelled for dry lips. No fragrance, no colourant, no flavour on the list.
How to use it
- Apply to lips that are slightly damp rather than fully dry.
- Reapply through the day, and again as the last step before bed.
- Keep the second tube in a bag or a coat pocket.
