What this cleanser does
A 150 ml soap-based creamy foam cleanser carrying the complete centella set — three extracts plus Asiatic Acid, Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid and Madecassoside — in a saponified fatty acid base.
The full cica complex, itemised
Most products that say cica list one Centella Asiatica Extract. This one lists seven separate entries:
Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract (whole plant) and Centella Asiatica Root Extract — three different parts of the plant — then the four isolated actives the plant is valued for: Asiatic Acid, Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid and Madecassoside.
Being straight about it: they sit at the very end of the list, and this is a rinse-off product. Contact time is under a minute and most of what you apply goes down the drain. The cica here is real and it is not where the money in your routine should go — a leave-on centella product will always do more.
It is a soap, and it says so
Positions three to seven are Myristic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid and Potassium Hydroxide. That is classic saponification: fatty acids neutralised with an alkali to form potassium soaps in the tube. It is what produces the dense, cushioned lather this cleanser is known for, rather than the thin foam a detergent system gives.
It also means a raised pH. If you deliberately avoid soap-based cleansers, this is one.

- Inorganic base. Sets the pH — what turns the fatty acids into soap.
- Glycerin
- Polyol. A material skin already contains, so it reads as its own; used to pull in water and hold it.
- Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride
- Medium-chain triglyceride from coconut. Used to soften by filling the gaps between surface cells.
- Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil
- Oil from moringa seed. Used to soften by filling the gaps between surface cells.
- Sucrose Stearate
- Sugar ester. Keeps oil and water from separating; does the cleansing — softens the soap system.
How the formula works together
Soap cleans thoroughly and rinses without residue; the cost is a raised pH and tightness. The counterweights here are Glycerin at position two — high, and doing real work — plus Glyceryl Stearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, moringa seed oil, sucrose stearate and Cetearyl Alcohol, which together give the cream body and leave something behind.
Polyquaternium-7 is a conditioning polymer that deposits on rinse, which is the other reason this does not squeak.
Thirty-nine ingredients. Four essential oils are on the list — mandarin orange, eucalyptus, lavender and longleaf pine — so this is a scented cleanser by design.
Who it is for
Worth checking before you buy: It is a soap-based cleanser, and anything in a rinse-off has limited contact time.

How to use it
- Squeeze a small amount onto damp hands and work it into a rich foam first.
- Massage the foam over damp skin, not the paste.
- Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
- Follow with toner while skin is still damp.
