Description

7 separate centella entries on the label — extracts, asiaticoside, madecassoside, the lot.
What this toner does
A 150 ml toner built around CICA-7 Complex and Centella, formulated to calm the look of redness, hold water in the surface and soften the surface.
What the cica complex actually contains
COSRX builds this around a named centella complex. The ingredient list shows what is behind the name: Centella Asiatica Extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Root Extract, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid, Madecassoside — 7 centella-derived entries.
Centella is the ingredient this brand is known for, and here it arrives as a set of related extracts rather than a single one.

How the formula works together
Three groups of ingredients are doing the work here. Calming ingredients — Centella Asiatica Extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract and Panthenol among others — work on the look of redness. Humectants — Butylene Glycol and Betaine — draw water into the surface. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride sits on top and slow how fast that water leaves.
Humectants and emollients and lipids are the pairing that matters here: water pulled in by one, held there by the other. That is the difference between skin that feels comfortable an hour after application and skin that feels comfortable at bedtime.
