How the formula works together
Three groups of ingredients are doing the work here. Humectants — Pentylene Glycol and Butylene Glycol — draw water into the surface. Allantoin works on the look of redness. Tocopherol slows oxidation, in the bottle and on the surface.
Humectants and calming ingredients cover each other. Skin that has lost water looks redder and more textured than it is, so putting water back is half of how a formula settles the look of a difficult day.
