What this mask does
A 60 ml overnight cream mask whose entire water phase is rice extract, with Niacinamide at position six and a four-part oil system. Eighteen ingredients.
The first line of a label is the whole argument
Nearly every cream you will ever pick up starts with Water, because water is the cheapest and largest part of an emulsion. Products that lead with a botanical usually still list water second or third.
This one never lists it at all. Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract is first, and the aqueous phase of the emulsion is that extract rather than water with rice added to it. Whatever else this mask is, that is a real and verifiable formulation decision, and it is the one that costs money.
Four oils, chosen for three different jobs
Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil at four is high in linoleic acid, the fatty acid dry and blemish-prone skin tends to be short of. Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Oil at eleven is mostly palmitic and oleic — heavy, and where the richness comes from. Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Kernel Oil at twelve is a different oil from a different part of the same fruit, dominated by lauric acid like coconut, and it sets firmer.
Then Dimethicone at seven, which is not nourishing at all — it is there to seal. An overnight mask is supposed to stop water leaving for eight hours, and a silicone does that better than any plant oil.
Using palm fruit oil and palm kernel oil together is a deliberate texture choice, not padding. It is also worth saying plainly for anyone who avoids palm: this product contains both.

- Oil from the palm fruit — mostly palmitic and oleic acids. The heaviest part of the formula.
- Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Kernel Oil
- Oil from the palm kernel — dominated by lauric acid, and firmer than the fruit oil.
- Dimethicone
- Polydimethylsiloxane. Sits on top and slows how fast water leaves — this is what holds water in overnight.
- Cetearyl Olivate
- Olive-derived ester of cetearyl alcohol. Keeps oil and water from separating.
- Sorbitan Olivate
- Olive-derived sorbitan ester. The other half of the emulsifier pair.
- Cetearyl Alcohol
- Fatty alcohol blend. Used to soften; sets how thick it is; supports the emulsion.
- Allantoin
- Heterocyclic diureide. Used to calm irritation.
- Betaine
- Amino acid derivative from sugar beet. Used to pull in water and hold it.
- Glycerin
- Polyol. A material skin already contains, so it reads as its own; used to pull in water and hold it. Third on this list.
How the formula works together
Eighteen ingredients, which for a rich cream is very few. The structure is: rice extract as the base, two humectants, four oils, one active, one emulsifier pair, one fatty alcohol, two thickeners, one calming agent, one pH adjuster, one preservative pair.
There is no filler and no botanical tail. Nothing here is on the label so it can be named on the box, which is the opposite of how most overnight masks are built.
Arginine neutralises the carbomer and sets the pH; Xanthan Gum stops the emulsion separating.
No fragrance and no essential oil on the list — which matters more for a product that stays on your face for eight hours than for one you rinse off.
Who it is for
Labelled for all skin types, as a final overnight step. In practice this is for dry, dull or tired skin — it is rich, and oily skin may find it too much for a summer night. Contains silicone and palm oils. Fragrance-free, which makes it usable on skin that is currently reacting.
How to use it
- As the last step of your evening routine, apply an appropriate amount.
- Spread it and tap it in, then go to bed.
- Rinse off with lukewarm water in the morning.
- Two or three nights a week is enough for most people; nightly if you are very dry.
