What this gel cream does
A 50 ml gel cream carrying Centella Asiatica leaf extract with the three isolated triterpenes — Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid and Asiatic Acid — plus Niacinamide and Palmitoyl Tripeptide-8.
About the colour
Cicapair is known for its green, and the assumption is that green means plant. The last two entries on this label are Yellow 5 (CI 19140) and Blue 1 (CI 42090) — two synthetic dyes that make green when combined.
That is not a criticism of the product. Colourants are cosmetically normal and these two are among the most studied. But a green cream sold on a green plant invites a conclusion the label does not support, and we would rather you knew which is which.
What the centella actually amounts to
Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract sits at position eleven — above the emulsifiers, above the thickeners, which is a real inclusion. Behind it come Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid and Asiatic Acid: three of the four isolated triterpenes, added on top of the extract rather than instead of it.
Madecassoside — the fourth of the set — is not on this list. Worth knowing if that is the one you buy centella for.

- Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract
- Extract of cocoa. Slows oxidation, in the formula and on skin.
- Sodium Surfactin
- Bacterial lipopeptide surfactant.
- Boron Nitride
- Plate-like mineral powder. Changes how it glides on — the soft blur in the finish.
- Caprylyl Methicone
- Alkyl silicone. Softens by filling the gaps between surface cells — the dry, non-greasy slip.
How the formula works together
Three glycols and Glycerin in the top four make this a humectant-led gel rather than an emulsion-led cream. Caprylyl Methicone and Hydrogenated Polydecene are the light emollients; Cetearyl Olivate and Sorbitan Olivate the olive-derived emulsifier pair.
The calming work is spread across four routes: the centella group, Allantoin, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-8 and cocoa extract. Niacinamide at seven and Adenosine handle tone and signalling. Boron Nitride softens the optical finish.
Thirty-seven ingredients, no fragrance and no essential oil on the list — unusual for a product this heavily marketed, and worth crediting.
