What this spot treatment does
A 15 ml two-layer spot lotion built on Calamine, Zinc Oxide and Colloidal Sulfur with Salicylic Acid, tea tree extract and leaf oil, and Niacinamide — the traditional drying-lotion format, dabbed on with a swab.
Why the instruction says not to shake
Leave the bottle upright and the powders settle into a pale layer at the bottom under a clear alcohol layer. You dip a cotton swab through the clear part and pick up the paste underneath.
Shaking it would give you a milky suspension — thinner, less concentrated where you need it, and visible on the face. The format is deliberate, and it is the same one used by drying lotions for the better part of a century.
What is doing the work
Alcohol is the first ingredient. That is what makes it dry down fast and flat, and it is also why this belongs on a spot and not on a face.
Then three settling powders — Calamine (zinc oxide with iron oxide), Zinc Oxide and Colloidal Sulfur — which absorb and sit over the area. Salicylic Acid works inside the follicle. Camphor and 4-Terpineol, plus tea tree extract and oil, carry the antiseptic side. Niacinamide at position eight is the one modern addition.

- Extract of Centella asiatica, whole plant. Used to calm irritation; used to slow oxidation, in the formula and on skin.
How the formula works together
Sixty ingredients, and they split cleanly. The first fifteen are the working formula: alcohol, the three powders, salicylic acid, sulfur, tea tree and niacinamide. Everything after that is a long soothing tail — Eclipta, kelp, camomile, witch hazel, licorice, peony root, kudzu root, purslane, aloe, maritime pine bark — plus Soluble Collagen, two hyaluronates and Ceramide NP.
That tail is what separates this from a bare drying lotion. A treatment built on alcohol, sulfur and salicylic acid will otherwise leave a dry, tight patch where the spot was.
Limonene is declared, and Camphor, Borneol, Isoborneol, Fenchone and cinnamon bark extract are all present. This is a strongly aromatic product.

Labelled for blemish-prone skin, as a targeted spot step. Alcohol-first, sulfur-containing, and aromatic — for a spot, never for the whole face. Not for use in pregnancy without medical advice.
How to use it
- Leave the bottle standing so the layers separate. Do not shake.
- Dip a cotton swab straight down through the clear layer into the paste.
- Dab onto the spot only, and leave it to dry.
- Overnight is the usual approach; rinse or wipe off in the morning.
