ILLIYOON
ILLIYOON Ceramide Ato Lotion 564ml
The refill-era size: 564 ml of the same barrier lotion.
Same formula as the 580 ml, in the pack Korean pharmacies stock.
Light, fast, no residue.
What this lotion does
A 564 ml body and face lotion built on hydrogenated rice bran oil with Ceramide 3, Cholesterol and Phytosphingosine, plus four herbal root extracts, formulated for dry and sensitive skin from infants upward.
Which ILLIYOON lotion is this
The Ato Lotion runs in more than one formula and more than one size, which makes the range confusing. This is the herbal-root version: Hydrogenated Rice Bran Oil as the emollient base, Ceramide 3 present as itself alongside the pseudoceramide, with Bupleurum, Angelica, Ophiopogon and perilla seed on the list. The 350 ml is a shea-based formula and reads differently.
Key ingredients
Ingredient · What it is, and what it is used for
- Ceramide 3
- Ceramide NP. A material skin already contains, so it reads as its own.
- Hydroxypropyl Bispalmitamide MEA
- Ceramide analogue (pseudoceramide).
- Cholesterol
- Sterol. One of the three lipid classes skin's outer layer is built from — ceramides and fatty acids are the other two, and they work as a set rather than alone.
- Phytosphingosine
- Sphingoid base. The backbone that ceramides are built on, and it occurs in your own lipid layer.
- Hydrogenated Rice Bran Oil
- Hardened oil from rice bran. Sits on top and slows how fast water leaves; sets how thick it is.
- Glycerin
- Polyol. A material skin already contains, so it reads as its own; used to pull in water and hold it.
- Panax Ginseng Root Water
- Aqueous distillate of ginseng root.
- Bupleurum Falcatum Root Extract
- Extract of Bupleurum falcatum root.
- Angelica Acutiloba Root Extract
- Extract of Japanese angelica root.
- Ophiopogon Japonicus Root Extract
- Extract of dwarf lilyturf root.
- Perilla Ocymoides Seed Extract
- Extract of perilla seed.
- Mannitol
- Sugar alcohol. Pulls water into the surface and holds it there.
How the formula works together
Four lipid materials — Ceramide 3, the pseudoceramide, Cholesterol and Phytosphingosine — sit in the back half of the list where actives usually do. In front of them is the structure that carries them: glycerin and propanediol for water, rice bran oil and silicones for slip, fatty alcohols and acids for body.
The four root extracts are the part that distinguishes this from a generic barrier lotion. Each is listed as a skin-conditioning agent rather than an active, and they are what the brand's herbal positioning rests on. No fragrance, no colourant, no mineral oil on the list.
Who it is for

How to use it
- Apply within a few minutes of washing, while skin still holds water.
