Isntree
Isntree Yam Root Vegan Milk Cleanser Set 220ml
The cleanser for skin that hates being cleansed.
A milk, not a foam — yam root third of twenty-seven, sunflower oil second, no soap anywhere.
Milky, low-foam, zero squeak.
What this cleanser does
A 220 ml milk cleanser built on sunflower seed oil and Andong yam root extract with glucoside surfactants, formulated to clean without foam for skin that finds a foaming wash too much.
Milk, and why it exists
A milk cleanser sits between an oil and a foam: enough oil to lift makeup and sunscreen, enough emulsifier to rinse without a second product. There is no soap, no sulfate and no foaming agent on this list — Arachidyl Glucoside and Coco-Glucoside do the work, both sugar-derived and non-ionic.
Key ingredients
Ingredient · What it is, and what it is used for
- Dioscorea Japonica Root Extract
- Extract of Dioscorea japonica root (Japanese yam).
- Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil
- Oil from sunflower seed. Softens by filling the gaps between surface cells.
- Arachidyl Glucoside
- Sugar-derived non-ionic surfactant. Keeps oil and water from separating; does the cleansing.
- Coco-Glucoside
- Sugar-derived non-ionic surfactant. Does the cleansing; builds the foam.
- Hibiscus Esculentus Fruit Extract
- Extract of okra fruit.
- Nelumbo Nucifera Root Extract
- Extract of lotus root.
- Undaria Pinnatifida Extract
- Extract of Undaria pinnatifida (sea mustard).
- Laminaria Japonica Extract
- Extract of Laminaria japonica (kelp).
- Avena Sativa (Oat) Meal Extract
- Extract of oat meal.
- Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Seed Extract
- Extract of sweet almond seed.
- Cetearyl Alcohol
- Fatty alcohol blend (C16-C18). Used to soften by filling the gaps between surface cells; sets how thick it is; keeps oil and water from separating.
- Glycerin
- Polyol. A material skin already contains, so it reads as its own; used to pull in water and hold it.
How the formula works together
Yam, okra and lotus root are all mucilaginous — they carry polysaccharides that give slip and hold water. That is the texture of this cleanser: slippery rather than foamy, and it is why the wash does not end with tightness.
Sunflower oil and Ethylhexyl Palmitate are the lifting half; the glucosides emulsify them off. Two seaweeds, oat and almond fill out the conditioning side. Twenty-seven ingredients, no fragrance, no essential oil, no colourant on the list.
Who it is for
Labelled vegan and suited to dry or sensitive skin. Works as a single morning cleanse, or as the second step after an oil at night.
How to use it
- Take a small amount and massage over dry or damp skin.
- Add water and keep massaging until it turns milky.
- Rinse with lukewarm water.
