What this pad does
A 50-count pad soaked in an emulsified cleansing oil — the same plant-oil approach as the brand's bottled version — with Capryloyl Salicylic Acid and Salicylic Acid added, formulated to lift sebum and the look of blackheads in a single wipe.
Oil and acid on the same pad
Two mechanisms are stacked here. The oils (soybean, jojoba, argan, hazelnut, evening primrose, camellia, olive, grapeseed, sunflower, rice bran) dissolve what is oily. Capryloyl Salicylic Acid — a lipophilic salicylic derivative — and Salicylic Acid work on the surface where sebum sits. Gluconolactone, a PHA, is on the list too.

- Distillate of witch hazel.
- Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Water
- Distillate of tea tree leaf.
- Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract
- Skullcap root extract. Used to slow oxidation and calm the look of redness.
- Centella Asiatica Extract
- Extract of Centella asiatica, whole plant. Used to calm irritation; used to slow oxidation, in the formula and on skin; used to pull in water and hold it.
- Saccharomyces/Rice Ferment Filtrate
- Filtrate of rice fermented with Saccharomyces.
- Squalane
- Saturated hydrocarbon, hydrogenated squalene. A material skin already contains, so it reads as its own; used to soften by filling the gaps between surface cells.
- Tocopherol
- Vitamin E. Used to slow oxidation, in the formula and on skin.
How the formula works together
The oil half does the lifting and the acid half keeps the surface from re-clogging between uses. Putting both on a textured pad adds a third thing — light mechanical friction — which is why this reads as a targeted step rather than a daily cleanse.
Behind the working ingredients sit witch hazel and tea tree waters, skullcap, centella and persimmon leaf, all listed as conditioning agents. The end of the list carries rose, ylang-ylang and geranium oils with Citronellol and Linalool declared — fragrance, and worth knowing if you avoid it.
Who it is for
Labelled for oily and blackhead-prone skin. Contains acids and fragrance; not a formula for daily use on reactive skin.
How to use it
- Take a pad and press it over the nose or chin for ten to twenty seconds.
- Wipe gently outward, then rinse with lukewarm water.
- Use two or three times a week rather than daily, and follow with a moisturiser.
