What this cleanser does
A 120 ml soap-based cleanser carrying Melaleuca Alternifolia leaf oil, extract and leaf water with Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, kaolin, and the enzymes Papain and Bromelain, for blemish-prone skin.
Three ways of loosening what is in a pore
Most cleansers pick one mechanism. This one runs three at once.
Capryloyl Salicylic Acid — LHA — is a fat-chain salicylic acid derivative. It is oil-soluble like salicylic acid but larger, so it works more slowly and stays nearer the surface. Papain from papaya and Bromelain from pineapple are proteolytic enzymes: they break protein bonds rather than lowering pH, which is a gentler route to the same end. Kaolin absorbs oil physically.
Enzymes in a rinse-off product have seconds of contact, so this is not a peel. It is a cleanser that does slightly more than clean.
Tea tree, and the two other oils with it
Tea Tree Leaf Oil at fifteen, Tea Tree Extract at twenty-one and Tea Tree Leaf Water at twenty-four — the volatile fraction, the solvent extract and the distillate.
Alongside them: Artemisia Vulgaris (Mugwort) Oil and Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil. Three essential oils in one cleanser is a lot for skin that is already inflamed, and it is the main thing to weigh before buying this.

- Amino-acid surfactant from coconut. Cleans at skin's own pH rather than raising it the way soap does.
- Sodium Hyaluronate
- Sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. A material skin already contains, so it reads as its own; used to pull in water and hold it.
- Beeswax
- Wax from honeybees. Sits on top and slows how fast water leaves — part of the cream body. Not vegan.
- Mannitol
- Sugar alcohol. Pulls water into the surface and holds it there.
How the formula works together
The base is a soap: Myristic, Stearic and Lauric Acids neutralised with Potassium Hydroxide at positions three to six. That gives the dense lather. Coco-Betaine and Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate are then added to take the edge off, and Glycol Distearate, beeswax and Sorbitan Olivate give it cream body.
The exfoliating trio and the tea tree group sit below that. Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid and Mannitol are the small counterweight — modest, but more than a plain soap carries.
Contains beeswax, so not vegan.

How to use it
- Take an adequate amount on the palms and work into a lather first.
