numbuzin
numbuzin No.1 Centella Re-leaf Green Toner Pad 70P
Ground centella, not an extract diluted into water.
Twenty-seven ingredients, and the green is the plant itself.
Textured pad, herbal and cool.
What this pad does
A 70-count toner pad built on licorice root and centella with thyme, Schisandra and Allantoin, formulated as the calming first step of the numbuzin numbered range.
A short list with an unusual top
After the solvents, the first botanical is Licorice Root Extract — not centella. Centella follows two places later, with Thyme Extract between them. Licorice is the material most often used on Korean lists for the look of uneven tone; running it above centella is a deliberate order, not an accident.
Key ingredients
Ingredient · What it is, and what it is used for
- Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract
- Extract of licorice root.
- Centella Asiatica Extract
- Extract of Centella asiatica, whole plant. Used to calm irritation; used to slow oxidation, in the formula and on skin; used to pull in water and hold it.
- Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Extract
- Extract of thyme.
- Schisandra Chinensis Fruit Extract
- Extract of Schisandra chinensis fruit (omija).
- Allantoin
- Heterocyclic diureide. Used to calm irritation.
- Panthenol
- Provitamin B5. Used to calm irritation, and pulls water into the surface and holds it there.
- Betaine
- Amino acid derivative from sugar beet. Used to pull in water and hold it.
- Nymphaea Alba Flower Extract
- Extract of white water lily flower.
- Hyacinthus Orientalis Extract
- Extract of hyacinth.
- Arginine
- Basic amino acid. A material skin already contains, so it reads as its own.
- Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil
- Oil from castor seed. Softens by filling the gaps between surface cells.
- Hydroxyethylcellulose
- Cellulose derivative. Sets how thick it is.
How the formula works together
There is almost no oil here — one castor oil entry and two polyglyceryl emulsifiers. Everything else is water, glycols and botanical extract, thickened with Carbomer and cellulose. That build is why the pad reads as a toner rather than an essence.
The calming work is spread across licorice, centella, Allantoin and Panthenol rather than concentrated in one material. No acids, no niacinamide, no alcohol on the list — a genuinely quiet formula, which is what a "No.1" first-step product ought to be.
Four essential oils close the list: grapefruit peel, geranium, tea tree and rosemary. They are the scent, and they are fragrance material.
Who it is for
Labelled for sensitive and easily reddened skin. Contains essential oils.
How to use it
- After cleansing, sweep a pad over the face along the lines of the skin.
- Press a pad onto a reddened area and leave for five minutes when needed.
- Follow with serum and moisturiser; no rinsing.
