Round Lab
Round Lab Birch Moisturizing Soothing Gel 150ml
Too much sun, wind, or day.
Water-jelly, not cream — birch sap in a gel that disappears rather than sits.
Cool, and gone in seconds.
What this gel does
A 150 ml water-gel built around baobab seed extract with two hyaluronates and a long run of plant extracts, formulated to put water back fast and settle the look of heat and irritation.
Read the list before you read the name
The line is called Birch, but this particular gel is not a birch formula — Betula does not appear on the list. What sits sixth is Adansonia Digitata Seed Extract, from the baobab, with Dioscorea Japonica, elm root, kelp, neem and holy basil behind it. That is worth knowing if you came for the sap; the formula is a botanical calming gel rather than a birch one.
Key ingredients
Ingredient · What it is, and what it is used for
- Adansonia Digitata Seed Extract
- Extract of baobab seed.
- Glyceryl Glucoside
- Glucoside of glycerin. Pulls water into the surface and holds it there.
- Sodium Hyaluronate
- Sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. A material skin already contains, so it reads as its own; used to pull in water and hold it.
- Hyaluronic Acid
- Glycosaminoglycan. A material skin already contains, so it reads as its own; used to pull in water and hold it.
- Dioscorea Japonica Root Extract
- Extract of Dioscorea japonica root (Japanese yam).
- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract
- Extract of aloe leaf.
- Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract
- Extract of Ulmus davidiana root (elm).
- Laminaria Japonica Extract
- Extract of Laminaria japonica (kelp).
- Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract
- Extract of Melia azadirachta leaf (neem).
- Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract
- Extract of Ocimum sanctum leaf (holy basil).
- Curcuma Longa Root Extract
- Extract of turmeric root.
- Ascorbic Acid
- Pure vitamin C. The most studied form and the least stable one — which is why the rest of a list like this is built to protect it.
How the formula works together
The base is water and three glycols carrying two hyaluronates and Glyceryl Glucoside — that is the hydration half, and it is why the texture reads as jelly rather than lotion. Three light esters near the middle of the list keep it from finishing bare without turning it into a cream.
The rest is a botanical stack: yam, aloe, elm, kelp, neem, holy basil, turmeric. Each is listed as a skin-conditioning agent rather than an active, and together they carry the calming character the product is sold on. That is an honest way to build a gel meant to go on thickly after sun.
Who it is for
Labelled for all skin types. Positioned for skin that is hot, tight or freshly exposed to sun.
How to use it
- Take a generous amount and spread over the face, or over the body where needed.
- Leave a thicker layer on for ten minutes when skin feels hot.
- Use morning or night, on its own or before a heavier cream.
