Torriden Dive-In Serum 50ml + Multi Pad Set
The serum the line is built on, pads included.
Five hyaluronates, Ceramide 3 and cholesterol — and no fragrance.
Watery, absorbs on contact.
What this serum does
A 50 ml serum carrying five forms of hyaluronic acid with Madecassoside, Ceramide 3 and Cholesterol, sold with the brand's multi pads, formulated to put water into the surface and give it something to hold onto.
The part that separates this from a plain HA serum
Most hyaluronic acid serums stop at humectants. This one adds Ceramide 3 and Cholesterol — two of the three lipid classes the outer layer of skin is built from — plus Madecassoside and Madecassic Acid from centella. Water that has nothing holding it leaves; that is the gap those two lipids close.
Key ingredients
Ingredient · What it is, and what it is used for
- Sodium Hyaluronate
- Sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. A material skin already contains, so it reads as its own; used to pull in water and hold it.
- Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid
- Hyaluronic acid of reduced molecular weight. Used to pull in water and hold it.
- Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer
- Cross-linked hyaluronate. The cross-linking stops it washing away as fast as the plain form, so it keeps working on the surface for longer.
- Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate
- Acetylated hyaluronate. Modified to be less water-loving than the plain form, so it clings to the surface instead of rinsing straight off.
- Ceramide 3
- Ceramide NP. A material skin already contains, so it reads as its own.
- Cholesterol
- Sterol. One of the three lipid classes skin's outer layer is built from — ceramides and fatty acids are the other two, and they work as a set rather than alone.
- Madecassoside
- Triterpene glycoside from Centella asiatica. Used to calm irritation.
- Madecassic Acid
- One of the isolated triterpenes from centella. Naming it means the active is measured in, not just carried along in a whole-plant extract.
- Beta-Glucan
- Polysaccharide from yeast or oat. Used to calm irritation, and pulls water into the surface and holds it there.
- Portulaca Oleracea Extract
- Extract of purslane.
- Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract
- Skullcap root extract. Used to slow oxidation and calm the look of redness.
- Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract
- Extract of tree peony root.
How the formula works together
There is no oil phase — the texture is entirely polymer and glycol. That makes it a serum that layers under anything without pilling, and one that works for oily skin that is nonetheless dehydrated.
Purslane, witch hazel, skullcap and peony root carry the calming side alongside the centella pair. Trehalose, Betaine and Beta-Glucan add water-holding by different routes. Thirty-three ingredients, no fragrance and no essential oil on the list.
Who it is for
Labelled for all skin types, including sensitive. Sold as a set with the multi pads, which use a related formula.
How to use it
- After toner, apply to damp skin — a humectant serum needs water to work with.
- Press in rather than rub.
- Follow with a cream to hold it; the serum alone does not seal.
